Walleye was so fresh - flaky, tender, lightly hand breaded - a perfect filet. So fresh there was no need for tartar sauce. I probably should have asked for drawn butter instead because it could have used just a bit of seasoning. (I had to add salt, which I rarely ever do. Certainly not a deak breaker - hey, people on cardiac diets need to eat, too!) We opted for Fibbers was because my husband wanted to try the Monday German specialties, but they had run out of everything by about 8pm. He settled for broasted chicken and promptly cleaned his plate. Apparently, he wasn't too disappointed. He especially enjoyed the twice baked potato. The beer list is good (considering the area) - they even have Riverwest Stein in bottles. There's a lovely view of Big St. Germain Lake. Our server was prompt and pleasant - we couldn't ask for better service. They played tepid, boring new country music (yawn!), but the volume was low enough. This place is great for conversation and families. Quiet, friendly atmosphere on a Monday night.

We were looking for a nearby restaurant with a laid-back atmosphere and great food while on vacation up north. I highly recommend Fibbers, especially for their Friday night fish fry. The service was great and the food was even better. I personally had the broiled cod with potato pancakes. Highly recommended! We also started with the cheese curds and they were tasty ( and I've had A LOT of cheese curds in my lifetime to be credible). My family had the fried perch, French dip and the steak sandwich, and they raved about their food too. We were all pleasantly surprised with our meals and will definitely make Fibbers one of our top spots to eat.

We were hoping for a better experience given that this place has 4 stars. The food was average "bar food" The jalapeño poppers were clearly the same frozen ones you can buy & make at home. The website showed Wednesday to be "chefs choice- Mexican" with a full menu. When we arrived [expecting to order Mexican food] our waitress acted as if she had no idea what we were talking about. Never got a refill on our drinks or really even saw our waitress after she brought our food out, despite the fact we were one of her two tables. On a plus side, the restaurant was clean...

Great food, great service, great view. A little pricey, that's the only thing that put it at 4 stars. We went once by car and once by boat. The twice baked potatoes are awesome.

Good old Fibbers. Been coming up here for over a decade. The Friday fish fry is a big hit. I like this place mostly for the memories. The food is decent - not all entrees are created equal. Staff is very friendly - your typical northern woods ambience. Overall, always have a fun time at Fibbers.

Great service! Awesome waitress and the food was outstanding! Beer battered walleye was fabulous and so was the lightly breaded. Wonderful atmosphere and muskies hanging on all the walls. Very clean and an overall great dining experience. Coleslaw complimented the fish nicely and great tartar sauce.

Fibbers is a solid choice. Frankly, most of the places up in this part of Wisconsin have a strikingly similar menu. Broasted chicken, fish, burgers, etc. Fibbers is not exceptional but we've always had a good meal. For us, the best part of fibbers is the park across the street where the kids love to play after dinner. Makes for a nice experience.

Great broasted chicken, good cocktails, good fish fry, good prices. German night is fun and the roulades were great. Kid friendly and not nearly as crowded as some of the other supper clubs in the area. Accessible by boat which is a plus. Game room for the kiddies. Very easy for large groups and families. Highly recommend.

Fibber's Bar and Grill has really gone down hill since the last time we were there! You could tell that all of the food was from frozen and was very poor quality. Yet every item was on the menu was severely overpriced. To top it off, the staff told us a story about getting a virus and only being able to eat soup. Not what we want to hear when we're trying to eat dinner. Overall, the food was very unsatisfying and the experience was horrible.

EXCELLENT service and the food was delicious! Went for the Friday night Fish Fry and it was outstanding. Cod, Perch & Walleye prepared either beer battered and fried, broiled with drawn butter or lightly fried with choice of potato...ALL YOU CAN EAT!!!!! They also have sprecher root beer on tap which was also great. They have nightly specials every night, a full bar, a game room for the kids and offer a great view of Big St. Germain Lake. They also sell Fibbers T-shirts/ sweatshirts and the owner was so sweet!

A nice resort style bar and restaurant. I enjoyed the best rib-eye steak I have ever had there. Everything else is average to above. Give it a try.

I'm not fibbing when I say this place is quite possibly the very WORST fish fry I've ever had!! I ordered the broiled cod & my husband ordered beer battered perch. The time it took between ordering the food & getting the food was less then 10 minutes. This explains a lot! I'm fairly sure mine wasn't even cooked thoroughly & was extremely mushy. My husbands beer battered fish was soggy & tasteless. As we were leaving we realized that they offer their fish fry on Tuesdays and Fridays. I'm fairly sure ours was left over from Tuesday or possibly even from the previous Friday. It was absolutely horrible! I just hope & pray I don't get food poisoning from it. Save yourself the trip and head over to 4 Seasons, they are the best so far in this area that we have tried. Absolutely anywhere else has to be better!

We walked in shortly before they had a huge party scheduled to arrive, but we were treated like we were the only ones that mattered. They seated us at the window looking over the lake, suggested what turned out to be a very nice chardonnay at a reasonable price and made menu recommendations, as if they had all the time in the world. We were both pleased with our entree courses. Victor the perch and I the chicken and ribs. I rarely order either of these items when dining out, but I think that chicken may have been the best ever! Very pleasant and reasonable price. We will return. Perhaps even often!

Friday Night Fish Fry... the best in and around St. Germain. Why you ask? It's your choice of either Perch, Walleye or Cod. I prefer the cod but those who love perch says its the best around. And you can order your fish either broiled, lightly breaded, or beer battered. You MUST order the homemade german potato pancakes, of course with applesauce on the side. And the coleslaw is fresh and not soupy or too creamy. You could order it all you can eat, but you don't have to. You'll be full when you leave and its 12.95 as of last night. There is plenty of parking right by the lake.

Great Friday night fish frys~! And they have a small hotel attached with great rooms to rent that overlook the lake. Better prices than in Eagle River and not on the strip. Place is set far back in the woods so have fun!
